I’ve always wanted to buy a big toy, but I’ve never been able to figure out a hiding spot where it won’t be discovered. If you live alone, it’s not a big deal, but it becomes tricky when you live with family. For example, my mom helps clean my room, and my sister goes through my closet!
So, hiding toys is necessary. Where do you hide your adult toys? I’ve summarized some methods shared by others for hiding toys.
- Summer is here, and those thicker blankets aren’t needed anymore, so they’re stashed in the closet. The toy might just be hidden within one of those layers.
- A woman’s wardrobe always has room for one more piece of clothing or a bag. Those bags that are rarely used won’t likely be inspected, so what’s stored inside will remain a mystery.
- The toilet tank in the bathroom, often used in movies to hide guns, can also be a safe place for personal items. Just wrap the item in plastic wrap, tape it up securely, and place it in the same spot where guns are hidden in movies. lol
- Use tape to stick it to the underside of the bed frame. When your mom cleans the room and mops the floor, she won’t see it.
- As the saying goes, the most dangerous place is the safest place. Therefore, makeup boxes, drawers, and other daily storage spaces are good hiding spots.
- Buy a toy with a deceptive appearance. Most people will think it’s just a regular toy. If your mom finds it and asks what it is, you can just say it’s a small toy, and she’ll probably believe you. (Though, keep in mind that moms aren’t easily fooled. But since you’re an adult, she might just pretend she didn’t see it.) We are pretty good at designing this type of product by the way.
- Print a piece of paper with the words “Free Gift” and stick it on a plastic bag. Put the toy in there and store it in your underwear drawer.
- A hidden compartment in your daily backpack might be a good place for a small toy. It’s similar to how guys sometimes keep condoms in their wallets—same principle.
- Put it in a box that originally belonged to another product and just happens to fit the toy. Think of shoe boxes, fruit boxes…
- You could hide it in the place where you keep your socks, using a long sock to cover it. Since there are other family members in the house, you might not want to leave it openly in a drawer where your parents might occasionally look.
- For those with multiple toys, you can buy a safe and place it in your wardrobe. Adult toys are quite personal items, so disguising them adds a layer of intrigue. Every time you take it out of the safe to use, it’s a bit more exciting.
